Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Red-Snake Technology LLC doing business as AutoCheckView (“AutoCheckView,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information in connection with the AutoCheckView website and vehicle documentation service.

2. Information we process

Depending on how you use the service, we may process:

• Name, email, phone, and account credentials or OAuth identifiers when you register or sign in.
• Order data: package, add-ons, pricing totals, scheduling preferences, order status, and AutoCheckView Credits balances/lots.
• Vehicle information you submit (year/make/model; VIN when provided).
• Seller, dealer, auction, or facility contact and access information you provide.
• Special instructions and access instructions submitted at booking.
• Reports, photos, videos, and related documentation media.
• Displayed OBD-II reader information when OBD-II Code Readout is purchased and performed.
• Payment-related metadata from our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers.
• Support messages and website chat messages (including HireLatch chat, when enabled).
• Consent records (legal document versions/hashes, timestamps, and hashed IP / user-agent where logged).
• IP address, device/browser data, and security logs used for authentication, abuse prevention, and operations.

We do not operate a third-party VIN/vehicle history lookup for new bookings while that catalog offering is disabled. Third-party vehicle history reports are not currently offered. Do not expect a VIN history PDF with your visit.

3. Purposes

• Provide the documentation service and produce reports.
• Process bookings and facilitate payment.
• Schedule and coordinate access with sellers/facilities and Field Specialists.
• Provide customer support and account access.
• Secure accounts, prevent abuse and fraud, and maintain service integrity.
• Maintain business, accounting, and legal records, and enforce applicable agreements.
• Improve service quality where appropriate (for example, understanding booking friction), without selling personal data.

4. Service providers

We use service providers as needed to operate the service, including: Stripe (payments); hosting/infrastructure providers; email delivery providers; Google Maps / Places (address and distance); Google OAuth when you choose Google sign-in; and HireLatch for the website chat widget (when enabled). We share information only as needed to provide the service, comply with law, or protect rights and safety.

5. HireLatch / AI-assisted chat

When the HireLatch chat widget is enabled on our site, website chat messages may be processed through HireLatch and supporting AI technology to respond to inquiries, provide service information from our catalog/knowledge, and assist with lead or booking handling. Chat responses are not a human mechanical assessment and do not diagnose vehicles. Catalog-based limitations (what we do and do not offer) still apply.

6. Photos, video, and reports

Reports and media are created for the Customer who placed the order. We do not sell personal data. Documentation is intended to record the vehicle and service-related information, not unrelated private conversations.

7. Cookies / local storage

The website may use cookies or local storage for sessions, security, and keeping booking selections to improve user experience.

8. Retention

We retain categories of information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain reports and order records, address disputes or corrections, satisfy accounting and legal obligations, secure the service, and enforce applicable agreements. Expiration of AutoCheckView Credits lots is a financial/service rule and is not the same as deletion of personal data.

9. Your requests

To request account corrections, ask access questions, request deletion where applicable, or ask privacy questions, contact info@autocheckview.com. Some information may be retained where necessary for transactions, legal or accounting records, security, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or other lawful obligations. We do not promise deletion of records we are required or reasonably need to retain.

10. Minors

The service is intended for adults placing vehicle-documentation orders and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for this service.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version accepted with an order is recorded for that order where consent evidence is stored.
